The reflected 'live' image of users in this work challenges the perception of the 'real' and the 'virtual'. Both 'states' of 'being'-collide, and slip in and out of consciousness between the subjective and material body. This live performance installation raises questions about the location of consciousness between the corporeal and the virtual body and 'its' extension through the technology - acting as a prosthesis.

Lorna is currently doing her PhD at Wolverhampton University. This practice based research looks at the phenomenology of the digital 'other' and its relationship to consciousness. Lorna has had her work exhibited nationally and internationally (Canada, Amsterdam, Russia, Poland, Spain, Berlin, Portugal ) along with a number of residencies (Berlin, Oviedo, various in the UK), research grants (Poland, Canada, Spain) and visiting lecturer posts. As well as working independently she has worked collaboratively with other artists on a number of art projects.
